The motto of the BIACC is "Do Business with a Member". The BIACC is committed to promoting our members. Marketing with us is a clever business strategy in today's market.

By getting involved in the resources the BIACC has to offer it provides an opportunity to strengthen and expand your business. As a member you will have access to our entire membership database which includes over 60 Builders and over 260 Associates.

Government Advocacy
The BIACC has a very active, professional and effective legislative advocacy program. Through the legislative committee and board of directors, well thought out positions are taken and presented to our elected and appointed officials. Then, through a well-planned, grassroots lobby effort, our positions are conveyed by members to their officials. To aid in this effort, BIACC has a Political Action Committee (PAC). The BIACC PAC is involved in those campaigns and ballot measures which affect, positively or negatively, the ability to provide shelter. The association works year-round to build positive public awareness of our industry, reaching the media, government, educators, families and our communities.

Construction Industry Liaison Committee
The Construction Industry Liaison Committee (CILC) format, sanctioned by the various city councils in our area, gives the industry an opportunity to sit down with local officials to discuss code, standards or policy interpretation/changes on a regular basis. The continuous open line of communication has resolved hundreds of problems over the years. Some of the issues discussed and resolved include:

  • Capital Facilities Fees
  • Off-Site Improvement Requirements
  • Vesting Tentative Map Law
  • Planning, Public Works Fee Schedules
  • Storm Drain Plans and Policies
  • Regular Review of Subdivision Specifications
